Matching data in separate lists

I am attempting to match the data in two separate tables based on
single cell. For instance an amount and its date comprise a table,
am trying to write a formula to tell me which of these amounts appea
in the other table (or do not), the date needs to stay attached to th
amount but is not relevant. I have written one using the excel matc
function but the problem is duplicate values. For instance, if ther
is the amount $100 more than one time it matches them all, I want it t
only match once so that there has to be one $100 in each table to creat
a match. I have tried the DigDB match table function and I cannot see
to get it to work. Any ideas
