Can someone explain to me? Pls?

Thks everyone for the responses. Rob van Gelder, this is interesting
have check the "Hide extensions for known file types" option in m
windows XP and is damn sure it is unchecked. Have check out you
website, it is cool and i will be visiting your website if i have an
problems so do keep adding things. :)

I have tried out the following codes too but none actually works for m
except .open command. Geez, I have a very bad feeling my windows XP doe
not like me very much. Guess have to let this mystery rest in peace.

workbooks("filename.xls").activate
windows("filename.xls").activate
application.windows("filename.xls").activate

once again thks but should anyone of you have the answer PLS DO info m
by sending me a private message. Thanks a lot.....

Hi Steve
these other c'codes' can't work unless the file is open. As stated I really
would suspect that your manager has this file already opened (maybe it is in
her XLstart folder)
