Counting by colour dilemma!!
Hi all! Thanks for the replies!, i cannot attatch the workbook so you may se what i am trying to achieve (but can send it to anyone willing t view).....when an extra person has been allowed off in a group and th date is taken a CLASH is entered (pink coloured line) containing th same date, currently the program counts all the clash dates in colum A, the second part i have been trying to do is to count all instance where an extra person has been allowed off (there may be more than on person on a clash line) and display that aswell so we know how man accommodations there have been in relation to the amount of clashe entered. The new amended code from Dave returns a value of 0 as did my previou effort but i dont think it is running through the function properly!
