Macros stored on Personal.xls
I created a whole lot of macros yesterday which were stored on Personal.xls.
I used them on many files & they were all fine. Today, all the ones I created yesterday are gone, although the earlier ones are all there. The only reason I can think of is that in replacing a few of my Excel workbooks today with earlier versions, Personal.xls was replaced with those Excel files. So does anyone know how I can recover yesterday's version of Personal.xls? |

When you closed Excel you should have been prompted that your Personal .xls
file had changed and would you like to save those changes. If you did not get this message or you answered no then your changes are gone. Personal.xls is stored in your C:\Documents and Settings\...your name...\applications\miscrosoft\excel\startup directory. You can look in there and see what the time stamp is on the file. If it is yesterday then there might be something to look at. If not then you are back to square one. "Lil" wrote: I created a whole lot of macros yesterday which were stored on Personal.xls. If you haven't got a backup copy, you are out of luck.
