i fixed my original post as what was displayed is not really what i ha originally. No, the name can have one or many groups for their name. there is no fixed names that may be in a file either, all varied. the difference is the names appear in column a with a blank in colum b. the groups appear one line down and nothing in column a and th name of the group(s) in column b only. my post didnt reflect this .. i dunno.. when i posted it , the blank were all removed. i fixed this and put the word (blank) in lake -- lakey1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- lakey13's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1599 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=27566 |
