Default Requesting formula help for dates/years

I am not sure how to go about this. I would like to use the calender or
dates to display the result.

For example, we are using 26 pay periods in the year. If 2004-02-10 falls
within period 03/2004 this year, how do I write a formula that determines
which period 2005-02-10 falls under the next year?

Thanks for any help.
Mark
