Status bar event ?

Even if there were, I don't think you could interupt excel's calculation process
to read that status line.

Hello,

I have a workbook on a server.
A web application (written in asp + dll) opens the workbook, gives some data
and calculates.

It works fine.

But when the calculation is very long, I want to return to the user, the
progression of the calculation (15%, 50%,...) written in the status bar.
Is there an event for that ?

Thanks

Xavier

Status bar event ?

The calculation event?

You could put something in the statusbar before calculation starts and something
in the statusbar when it's done, but I you won't be able to get to the statusbar
while excel is actually calculating.

Ok thank you
It would be an idea for Microsoft in a future version.
