Way to Protect cells
Hello,
I have a target column C in my file that have all the formular and calculation which I protected the sheet. THe users are filling in the actual info in column D. Is there a way to protect column C so that they can't do copy and paste into column D, but rather type in the actual data? Way to Protect cells
I think you need to unprotect your sheet, select the column then righ click in the highlighted area choose format cells choose protectio then click on protection and make sure the check box for locked i ticked, once you have done this you need to go to tools, protection protect sheet (if you have excel 2003 then you have a list of option which says Allow the user to:- uncheck the select locked cells), yo must make sure any other cell you do not wish to be locked has had th locked check box cleared. Hope this helps!
