Any help in manipulating text appreciated
HI, I need to be able to check cell contents in a specific row (c) and se if the text matches and if it does the put different text in different cell. eg if a3="text" then a5="different text" the information in a3 could be up to 15 different items resulting in u to 6 different texts. something like search and replace only replacing to a differen multiple cells 1 or 2 cells away, throughout the worksheet. Is this possible -- Ron ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ronl's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1592 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=27409 |

Is this possible? Sounds like a job for a lookup table. Check HELP for VLOOKUP. --ron |
