Develop 230 Graphs from Data
 

Hi Everyone,

I have a spreadsheet that has 230 rows of data representing the number
of car dealerships in one region. I have 10 salespeople who service
this region with about 20 dealers each. The spreadsheet contains all
dealers and has subtotals of each salesperson throughout. I would like
to take this data and create a graph for each dealership which shows the
data for that dealer, the average of dealers for their salesperson, and
an overall average for the all dealers. This means there will be three
bar graphs for each graph. I need a macro that will create take each
row of data and create a graph and place it in one worksheet.

Large numbers of graphs in a single workbook/worksheet can cause problems.
230 graphs in a single sheet sounds like a lot. If you are going to keep
the graphs in that workbook (not break it out into separate workbooks for
distribution to the dealers), then it might be better to great a page with 3
pivot charts and you can select from a dropdown what you want to look at.

Have you ever worked with PivotTables and PivotCharts?
a standard feature of Excel, but often overlooked.

It's ideal for what you need to do.
Check out Excel help and/or a decent Excel book,
and experiment a bit.

Once your data is properly organized in "database"
layout rather than "Matrix layout..

then using Pivots is a breeze.
