Excel programming: change detection
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/duplic...#InOneNotOther
-----Original Message----- Hi! I am a total freshman in Excel programming. I need help in the following problem (preferably for Excel 2000, if there's a difference): - I have a very large retail price list in Excel format (more than 5000 products) - every week I get a new net price list from my wholesaler - the new net price list includes also new products and (sometimes) changes to product prices etc I need a set of Excel macros to use to compare my price list and my wholesaler's price list to find - new products (every product has a unique product number) - changed products (price and/or any other feature) The result of these macros should be: - either a separate sheet with only the new products/only the changed products included - or some way to mark the rows on the new net price list that have changed Even better would be if I could make this process totally automatic, resulting to my original retail price list being updated automatically, every time I get a new net price list I thank everyone trying to help me, Jari Tuomi, Finland eMail: . |
