The routine works its way up from the bottom and uses COUNTIF to count the
cells in column A which have the same value as the current cell. If the count is greater than 1 there is at least one duplicate and it deletes the entire row. If it isn't working then there aren't any duplicates in the column. Could there be any spaces after the values you can see ? Maybe you have a different worksheet selected ? It works consistently on my test data but, for example, "b" and "b " would look the same but would not be considered as duplicates.
