How to call a "xla" object itself?

When open a "xla" file I find that the Activeworkbook
object is Nothing, so I don't know how to call this object.
Could s.b. tell me how to do that. I need the function to
perform further actions, such as Saveas, etc..

How do you open the xla, by installing it, or opening like a regular file?

Where is the code referencing Activeworkbook?

HAve you tried Thisworkbook?
