Post from Excel?

I am using the wab browser to read and post the
messages to this NG. This is very time consuming
as the ms server takes anything between 8 to 20 minuts
to respond to any query, next page, new post
or reply to any post. Is it possible to send any message
or post the message to this NG from excel with a macro?
Can we reply to any post with a macro?
If reply is difficult atleast new post?

This is because out company has blocked the port 119
and anycommunication from the outlook or outlook express.
We have to use IE for internet which is in turn cencered
by the co servers.

Hope somebody can help.
Thanks.

the web interface from microsoft is not that slow..
ofcourse posted messages may take a while (3 minutes max)
to arrive on the newsserver.. but page navigation's are instant.

so i think your companies bandwidth and "censoring" is the bottleneck

you could try to access this forum via exceltip.com,
which may be a bit faster.

you could convince your network people to allow XNEWS and port 119
XNEWS doesnt support scripting, so it's much safer then outlook.
(although ofcourse you CAN d/l and open viral attachments manually)

else you could setup a non networked computer and access the net via a
phone line :)
