Worksheet_Change method not working in Excel 97
In an excel sheet the cell types of a column are "named
list" type. The named list refers to a range of cells. In each cell values are to be selected from the list only. On selecting an item from the list ,specific actions are to be done depending on the value of item being chosen. For this macro has been written in the Worksheet_Change event. This macro is working fine in Excel 2000. But in Excel 97 this macro is not working .Infact, worksheet_change() event is not getting fired in Excel 97 for the action of selecting items from a named list.Is it a problem with Excel 97 ? |

If you are talking about a data validation list, then this is a bug in Excel 97. The Worksheet_Change event does not fire in response to selections made in data validation lists in that version of Excel. The bug was fixed in Excel 2000. -- Rob Bovey, MCSE, MCSD, Excel MVP Application Professionals http://www.appspro.com/ * Please post all replies to this newsgroup * * I delete all unsolicited e-mail responses * "Manoj Kumar Sharma" wrote in message ... As Rob says, with XL97, a change to a Data Validation cell does not fire
the Worksheet Change event. You can try and get round this by linking a cell to that DV cell (=H10 say), and using the Worksheet Calculate event to fire your code. -- HTH RP "Manoj Kumar Sharma" wrote in message ...
