i want the principle of conditional formatting. it fills cell A1 with blue
if cell B1 is equal to Paid, green if Outs and orange if w/reqs. my problem
is i have 6 conditions to be placed on cell B1. conditional formatting
offers only 3 conditions. what will i do? please help

i've seen the page but i dont know what code there will i use. i found one
case statement there and i think it's something like what im looking for but
i dont think i can modify it. can you simplify that for me? what i want is
exactly like:

paid=blue,outs=white/unfilled,
w/reqs=orange,adj=yellow

a1=paid so filled with blue
a2=outs so filled with white
a3=adj so filled with yellow
a4=paid so blue
a5=w/reqs so orange

i can do it with conditional formating but im limited to only 3 conditions.
