Thanks for the reply. The problem is that, this excel spreadsheet i
generated via another vehicle and then given to me (report is initiall
given to admin assit). Admin wants to be able to compare the diff eac
week and the prior week of each employee and department (charges)..
for the most part.

My initial thoght was to dump it in an access database....but trying t
figure out how to create a macro that will be ran weekly to import th
data into the database and then end user will just utilize the GUI vi
Access. End user does not want to have to touch the data.

There are so many pieces to this puzzle until I'm pulling my hair out!

Oh, the exec is a header, then you have the other headers (goin
across). the problem is that the the exec record for the exec name i
on the same line that starts the first employee record. If you look a
it quickly, one would assume that the first record has a field calle
smith (exec name)?? Make sense?

Example:
Headers Exec EmpLastName EmpInitial Org
EmployeeID
Data Smith Jones T A353
123456789
Williams C
B456 321456987
blank line
new Exec Doe Wally V C123
3245676

And so fourth....

Above all of this is a legend, describing the highlighted text
etc..... :(
