Continuing Difficulties W/ Sum For Variable-length Column

Bob,

Thanks for your help very much.

I tried the following, starting my range at F1, and continuing down th
F Col:

ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="TEMPLE", RefersTo:= _
"$F$1:OFFSET($F$1,,,COUNTA($F:$F))"

It did not work.

I am confused. If you add a name via VBA you only need to do it once, not
for every cell in the column.

That is because you left out a necessary equal sign:

Sub Tester3()
ActiveWorkbook.Names.Add Name:="TEMPLE", RefersTo:= _
"=$F$1:OFFSET($F$1,,,COUNTA($F:$F))"
End Sub

worked.
