"unexpected error" when running solver from a macro
 

thanks guys. i tried jon's code and it's working for me (for now, a
least. i havent done a lot of testing)

i'll post updates to my situation if there are any (it's a project i'
doing. hoping to use the Solver to solve optimization problems in trus
structures)

ian: i wonder why, since it's a microsoft bug, it hasnt been reporte
previously (or isnt well known, at least)? i would assume that ther
are enough users out there who would use the solver on a regular basis
for programmers to want to control it from a macro? :confused:

jon: it'll be nice if you can update us on your " but it was workin
before 9pm!!" situation? i'd like to know the solution to thi
"problem" as well.
