Location data to grid
I have a list of products, item 1, item 2, etc.. and for each location. The location is in a grid 26*26, from a to z in the x axis and 1 to 26 on the y axis. Each item appears ONLY ONCE in the list bu could have SEVERAL locations in the grid. In that case, the locatio field is populated with several location couples seperated by a comm (eg. a1,b2,f4) From the list, I would like to generate the grid graphically in anothe worksheet where for the item's name appears in the appropriate cells. If there was one location for each item, it would be easy with a looku function, but here I am stuck. Thanks for your help -- fredl ----------------------------------------------------------------------- fredlo's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1453 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=26160 |
