OK, I have a basic spreedsheet and I created a drop down list (yes, no
and NA) i did the data... validation and linked it to the cells but i can't figure out how to link it to cells on another sheet from the same spreadsheet? when i go and choose my cells it won't let me hit the other worksheet that i want to refer to? I am I doing this backwards? here is what i have in data...validation...source field =$N$22:$N$26 TIA, Greg |

Drop down list
Greg,
Create the list of possible values in consecutive rows on the other sheet and then use Insert Name Define to Name the range containing the list as "MyList". Now go back to the other sheet and use data validation to create the drop down box, using list as before, and make entry "=MyList". Good Luck, Frank wrote in message ...
