function to delete rows
Hi
see: http://www.xldynamic.com/source/xld.Deleting.html -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany NotAnExcelWizard wrote: I have a spreadsheet of three columns. The first is a market sector (ie chemicals, metals, etc), the second and third are return numbers associated with that sector. I want to write a macro that will identify rows containing sectors that I want to delete before sorting the range (I don't want about a dozen sectors included). I download the same information regularly, and would like to not have to maually go through and delete the unwanted rows. Is there a function that can identify a specific piece of text, AND THEN delete the entire row it is contained in?, Or, is there a way to turn the offending text and the adjacent return numbers into blank cells, so I can sort them out? Thanks in advance. Darlene |
