Share workbook accross FTP
 

Hi,

Im trying to allow two users on seperate remote sites to share a
spreadsheet via FTP.

Both sites can access the file but when spredsheet is opened within
FTP software (WinSCP) a copy of the spreadsheet is made locally. When
saved any changes made to the spreadsheet are only local, and not
visibile to the other remote user.

To get round the problem each user would have to
1)download the spreadsheet
2)update the spreadsheet and save
3)upload the spreadsheet onto FTP site.

I was wondering if there is a way round this issue, clients are not
happy as
downloading/changing/uploading will take too much time as numerous
changes
will be required throughout the day ? Another problem would be timing,
both clients could download the spreadsheet and make changes at the
same time.


Might be more of an FTP question than excel but hoping there may be
some knowledge here !!
