Macro help required for updating old sheet with new entries
I run a regular report on a daily basis everyday. Now, these report
contains at least 10,000 rows of datas with around 20 fields on th column (ie., the first column contains the field name). Now, I add th status for each row manually on a daily basis. When I run a new report the next day, some of the status of the old file would have move /progressed to a new status. Also, a particular unique key is assigne to each row. All the other numbers/data in the same row will b associated with this unique key. Now, I want whatever new unique key that is generated by the new repor to be imported to the old file by adding a new row in the old file. Also, each unique key has the latest status associated with it eg Despatched, Cancelled etc. Now, if the status of some old unique ke has changed to "Despatched", "Cancelled", I also want these to b updated in the old file by overwriting the status in the old file -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
