trouble linking formulas, because format continues to change

linking daily workbooks for a month to date total. our products
continue to change on a daily basis, so i am having touble linking
because the daily total cell changes from day to day depending on
total products produced, because of this i am unable to create a
template with a constant link.

i can easily replace the workbook name in the formula, but the
constant changing month to date cell location is causing a problem.

bird,

You probably copying the daily workbook to the Monthly workbook. Thi
will stop the link problem. You could put a button on the Dailywor
book that when clicked would update the Monthly.
I created a workbook that tracked daily invoice inq. and at the end o
the the Rep. clicked the "End of Day" button.
This took the daily input and moved it to the "Monthly Master
Workbook.
This is just an ideal. Someone else by be able to solve the lin
problem.

Charles

What marks the daily total cell.

Does it have Total in the cell to the left?

is it the last filled cell in a column?
