Not exactly a programming question
Can anyone help me with a question that does not relate to excel
programming? My friend is about to go through a divorce because he caught his wife with someone else. I want to help him look for chat files on his computer, what file extensions are associated with chat? Thanks for helping. Daryl |

most instant message files are save as *.htm, the best way to do is pull
up a chat window and select file then select open chat, and that will go to the last place something was saved, or search the whole computer for htm files, what chat system is it i.e. aol, aim, windows messenger.. another place to look is "C:\Documents and Setting\[user name]\local settings\" and check out the history folder, temp folder, and temporary internet folder, those always show good traces of what they've been up to, also you can download key spy's from the internet that will log every key stroke she does Daryl Timm wrote: Can anyone help me with a question that does not relate to excel programming? There must be a good 'alt' newsgroup or two for this topic...
