Limitation on controls/objects?

Just guesses....

#1. Close excel and clean up the windows temp folder. Excel uses this folder
to store a bunch of files that get created with controls on a userform (and
activex controls on a worksheet). Maybe there's something that's confusing
excel.

#2. Try Rob Bovey's code cleaner program. It exports the modules and reimports
them. There can be some detritus left behind that causes unexplainable errors.

Can you create a smaller version of your workbook and try that?

Maybe the workbook itself is getting corrupted. If a test workbook works ok,
you may want to consider recreating the full version.

What I have found is that you can work on it in excel XP (2002). Adding new
controls works fine and everything runs okay. If you bring it back to a 97
computer though it crashes on those new statements. Unfortunately, almost
everyone who'll be using it has Excel 97.
