Need to import multiple files with a macro
Hi, I need to import files into excel. I can do it by hand easil
enough but there are several hundred files and to go through and clic import and select each one at a time will take a very long time. Each file has the same name, but they are all in differant folders, an those folders do not have regular names. They are, however, all withi the same folder themselves. I wanted to make a macro that will open the first folder, select th correct file, import it, move over a column, and then run through th same thing, only for the next folder. Right now the macro I recorde will open a folder, import the file and move over a column, but then if run again, it imports the same file again and moves over anothe column. Any ideas on how I can tell it to select the next folder? I trie deleting folders after I imported from them hoping that it would alway select the first folder in the list, but it still tries to import th same file again (and gives and error because that file is no longe there). Any help would be appreciated -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
