error message on combo box

Hi, I am new to the list and hope that this is the right
newsgroup for this question.
I have a spreadsheet with 15 option buttons. Each option
button when clicked makes a combobox appear. I have a
quick message box pop up to instruct the user what to do
in the combobox. Basically you are supposed to pick
something by using the combobox. When I click on the
combobox to make my selection, I receive the following
error message:"Not enough system resources to display
completely."
When I click the OK button on the error message pop up, it
does not disappear from the screen, instead it remains on
the screen until I go to another worksheet and come back.
Does anyone have any ideas?
TIA

Try setting the zoom level to 100%.

Hi Joe

Welcome to the Group. I guess this is as good a place to ask these
kind of questions as any.

Could you give us information such as:

1) What version of MS-Excel are you using?
2) What version of MS-Windows are you running?
3) What type of video card and driver are you using?
4) How much Video RAM is in your system?
5) What type of CPU is running in your system?
6) How many OptionButtons and DropDowns are we talking about?
7) How much free disk space and if you have defragmented your hard
drive lately.
8) Does this happen on one computer, or on many?
9) Does this happen with a single Excel workbook?
10 Are these option buttons in an array, or separated?

I think this seems to me to be a video refresh problem more than a
MS-Excel problem, and I say that because you do state that:

<<< it remains on the screen until I go to another worksheet and come
back.

This indicates to me that the screen is not being refreshed fast
enough for you to see the effects.

Try this and report the results:

1) Launch MS-Excel, and the Task Manager.
2) Load your workbook
3) Check the Task Manager CPU Usage page.
4) Click on these OptionButtons and Check the Task Manager CPU Usage
page.

If the CPU usage is 100% or some large number, the system is busy
working on your request and video will be delayed.

Hope this Helps.

Wassim

Amazing! This actually works (not to mention, one of the simplest
solution to a complicated problem).

Thanks.

Bernard.
