Real time countdowns
Hi
NOW() just gives you the current system time. What is the exact problem with this function? Note: I don't think Excel is the right tools for doing this :-) -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany "EB" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... Can I embed a clock into a spreadsheet or use the system clock to give me real time countdowns against predicted times ( the NOW function is too unwieldy). This is for monitoring rounding marks in yacht racing, are the boats in different classes ahead or behind predicted time limits. Does anyone have any suggestions???? I am using Excel 2000 pro. -- EB |
Real time countdowns
I'm not sure what you want to do -- but the now() seems to work great and to the hundreth of a second I believe. I wrote a simple macro to make a timer. If you put now() in any cell even hidden and write a macro to copy -- paste value. Whatever cell you want the current time in put the currsor, and hit the macro shortcut I used control shift "Z" so i can do it one handed quickly.
