hard to tell from your info, but a few questions/suggestions/observations
for you: 1) how do you know it stops at row 30? 2) fyi: cell D18 is looking in columnJ for exactly what is in cell B10, then going over to columnL and returning that value, if any; while cell B18 is looking in columnJ for exactly what is in cell B10, then going over to columnK and returning that value, if any. You indicated you were pulling info from columns J & L, not L & K as code states. 3) try naming the range on sheet1!J2:L34 and referring to that range in your vlookup. highlight sheet1 range J2:L34, hit 'insert' 'name' 'define' and type in 'mylookuprange'. then change formula to =vlookup(b10,mylookuprange,2,false). 4) lastly, make sure you are on automatic calculate (tools, options, calculation, automatic) or hit F9 to manually calculate potentially un-updated results from a changed formula (30--34). hope this helps, mike allen "Gfunc" wrote in message ... Hiya, what should be a relatively simple problem is driving me craaaazy. I have a spreadsheet with 2 cells on vlookup: (Cell d18) =(VLOOKUP($B$10,Sheet1!$J$2:$L$34,3,FALSE)) AND (cell B18) =(VLOOKUP($B$10,Sheet1!$J$2:$L$34,2,FALSE)) My problem is that it is only looking up to row 30... not all the way to row 34... to claritfy: B10 is a drop down box where I choose which category i want. once I click the category, it auto inputs data pulled from the data in coulms j & L. It is supposed to pull all the way down to the 34th row, but for some reason, it stops at row 30... It originally was programmed to only go to row 30, but as you can see from the formula, I have adjusted for the addition. Any help is greatly appreciated. Gfunc |
