Dear Dave,

on 7/7/2004 you gave a nice advice to Jonnyboy with
dynamic declaration of a range. How it is, however, with
twin range selection for xy-chart SeriesCollection, i.e.
for later setting

ActiveChart.SetSourceData Source:=Rng1

something like

With ActiveSheet
Set Rng1 = .Range(.Range(.Cells(1, 2), .Cells(N, 2)), _
.Range(.Cells(1, 4), .Cells(N, 4)))
End With

should be applied. This declaration leads regrettably to
438 run-time error (Object doesn't support this property
or method).What does the trick?

I'am so sorry to find out it works fine. The error was in
another situation: deactivation of the sheet in between.

I would think you'd be happy to find out it works fine <vbg.

Glad you found the solution.
