Condensing Data onto a New Worksheet
I have randomly placed data (some with data some without
data) in cells in rows 3 through 500 that represent yearly totals for columns A through E for fiscal years 2001 through 2005. The year is displayed in row 2 & the column totals are displayed in row 1. On a new worksheet I want to condense this data to show only the year, the total & the data applicable to the year. I need a loop that will: 1) initially place the year in cell A1 & the corresponding total for this initial year in cell B1. Then the data applicable to this year (only the cells with data) directly below this total starting in cell B2. 2) add a blank row & then place the next year in A? & the total for this next year in cell B?. Then the data applicable to this next year (only the cells with data in the next column) directly below this next year total. 3) continue until all five years of data are condensed onto a new worksheet that displays the applicable year & total on one row followed by the applicable corresponding data (which varies in number of rows) on the following rows. |
