Just making sure I'm clear on this... you want to make a chat engine
that uses Excel as its database?

??? Now I'm confused again. Bob pointed out that you probably meant
"chart" but just typo'd, but now you're asking for "chat" again. So,
here are the possibilities that I've thought of:

1. You want to create a CHART (also called a diagram or graph) but have
managed to typo it every single time.
2. You want to create a chart, but learned English from a Boston native.
3. You really, really do want to create a CHAT ENGINE (as in IM or IRC)
with Excel as its DB.
4. You're the living incarnation of evil, sent here to torment me. (Just
kidding.)

If you want to create a CHART, I personally can't help you (since I've
never needed to do it myself). Someone else can answer that.

If you want to create a CHAT ENGINE, I recommend something besides Excel
for the DB.

- Well, no, unless you count "unable to stop laughing at him" as dangerous.

I'll go for:

5. All of the above

Anyway.... You will have to state more clearly what you are trying t
do, otherwise we cannot help you
