Missing paste option between workbooks in Excel 2002

Wierd problem.

I have two workbooks. For some reason, when I attempt to select the
entire sheet1 in workbookA, I cannot paste it into workbookB with the
right click. The right click Paste is completely greyed out.
However, the item appears in the clipboard pane and I can manually
paste it if I click in the clipboard.

I've told my client to just use the clipboard, but he really wants to
simply use the right click paste option.

What would cause the right click paste and paste options to grey out
even though the task pane for the clipboard shows the item to be
pasted?

Thanks in advance.

Do you know the exact steps they used? Sometimes doing something that looks
innocuous can cause the clipboard to get emptied.

I have a template named sheet.xlt in my XLStart folder. If I add a new sheet,
the clipboard is lost. (If I remove the sheet.xlt, then the stuff stays on the
clipboard.)

Does Paste work if they just copy from the same worksheet?

Ahhhhhhhh. I bet you have a worksheet event firing that's destroying the
clipboard. Does your workbook or the workbook they're pasting into have macros
behind the worksheet or behind Thisworkbook?
