Static copy of spreadsheet
I have a workbook template with two sheets. One is hidden and populated with
external data upon opening. The other allows users to enter part numbers in one field and then the other fields are populated with vlookups to the hidden sheet based on the part numbers. Once this workbook is saved as an xls file, i never want the data in the hidden sheet to be updated, just to keep the original copy of the data intact for future reference. It would also be acceptable for all of the data in the cells of the first sheet to become static and have the other table in the hidden sheet disappear forever. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Hi
try - select your data range - copy the data - goto 'Edit - Paste Special' and choose 'Values' to remove your formulas -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany M.Streeks wrote: I have a workbook template with two sheets.
