Pivot Tables - slow...
I have a workbook that consists of a "control" sheet then
a number of blank sheets. The control sheet has a list of pages in a table, next to which is the name of a stored procedure. Each procedure returns a recordset of data from a SQL database. Each SP returns a different set of data. Each sheet will have at least one pivot table. some sheets have up to 5 oivot tables, but based off the same recordset. The first pivot is created by setting the pivot cache to the returned recordset. If there are further pivots, is it recommended that these are based off the first one - since the data is the same essentially, athough presented differently, or shound each pivot on a page be set to the recordset? I'm ultimately looking for ways to speed up delivery. thanks for any insight Patrick |
