I know i've seen this somewhere before, i just can't
remember where. How can you take an image of an excel
screen for use in a help guide?

Jon,

simplest way is to set the focus on the Excel window, and do an Alt-PrtScr.
Then you copy into a word doc or whatever.

If you want more flexibility, you will need a screen grabber program.

Jon,

You can also highlight the part of the spreadsheet that you want
picture of and hold down the shift key as you are clicking on the Edi
menu. This will enable a couple of more menu options in the MS Exce
edit menu. One of them is 'copy picture'. Copy your screen or partia
screen to a bitmap or picture in the clipboard and then you can past
it into the editor you are using to make your help guide.
