Urgent...insert values

Hi all,

I have an urgent problem with no solution. I run a workbook listin
machinery. The machine may take on around 10 configurations.

What i am looking to achieve, is use a combo box to list the machines
When the machine is selected the correpsonding price for the option
listed fill in column D. These options fill column A and there ar
about 50 of them. The price for each is dependant on the machine chose
and all prices are listed on the next sheet.

To summarise:

1. user selects machine from combo box
2. correpsonding options price then copies from sheet2 to matchin
option in column D

ppplleeeeaassseee....help!!!! Im needing something today!!

This is certainly feasible.... but your question is very confusing.

I will suggest this....

You can use combo or Validation to create the list.

Either using a program or named range, you can update the data in col
D... (need more details) then use this in sheet 1 where you intend.

If you provide more clarity on problem .. I will be pleased to help you.

Hi
this sound like you need a combination of 'Data - Validation - List'
and VLOOKUP. See:

Hi all,

thank you for the replies. Ill explain a little better. My workbook i
used to compile machinery. The parts are all listed in column A (aroun
200 of them). Each part may be used on up to 90 different machin
configurations. I cannot use a combo box with 90 options for obviou
reasons. I can summarise the machine by certain criteria though.

P LV PLV PPLV LTTLV PLTTLV
PP PL
1 colour
2 colour PRICING
3 colour
....12 colour

The part prices depend on the no of colours and the machine config a
above. What i was thinking was, if the user somehow selected the no o
colours at the beginning, the macine pricing for that colour range onl
appeared in the rest of the combo boxes. (each part currently has
combo box listing pricing but this is a simple machine.)

I can send a sample book that shows what im after but on a large
scale.

Any ideas?????
