suppressing error message
hi colm
you could use an IF function around your match formula to "hide" the #NUM one option is =IF(ISERROR(your match formula here),"",your match formula here again) hope this helps Cheers JulieD "colm o'brien" wrote in message ... I have a sheet which uses match to reference another sheet in look up it works ok but when the item is not there i get the error message #NUM! this is fine but i wanted to hide this message but not when a match is found i tried conditional formatting to colour white text when cell value is #Num! but this hasn't worked any ideas colm |
