Excel 2003 asks me for a protected worksheet password every time I start Excel
I'm running Excel Version 11.5612.5703 One of the workbooks that I use
is password protected and it recently started asking me for the password for that workbook every time I start Excel. I posted the same problem a while ago and somebody suggested that the file could be in my XLSTART folder - which it was so I removed it and the problem went away. This time I have checked XLSTART, in fact I have searched the whole machine including the registry but can't find anything to explain this behaviour. Incidentally, if I enter the password it opens the workbook straight into editable mode without prompting again to make it writeable. Has anybody had the same problem? Thanks, Liam |
