Missing help entries in Visual Basic
Hello all,
This is perhaps not strictly an Excel issue, but this IS the most learned group on the subject of VBA, so I hope you will forgive me. I have just upgraded to Office 2003 from Office XP, and I find that several of the VB help entries do not seem to be present. The VB editor help "Table of Contents" is as follows: Microsoft Excel Visual Basic Reference Microsoft Visual Basic Documentation Microsoft Office Visual Basic Reference The first entry is dependant of course on which Office app I am running at the time - I only have installed Excel and Word, though I have ensured that all VB options are selected in the installer. Now, if I do a search for something like "MsgBox", the first four results are these: MsgBox Function (Visual Basic for Applications) MsgBox Constants (Visual Basic for Applications) vbMsgBoxResult (Object Browser) vbMsgBoxStyle (Object Browser) However, clicking on any of these does NOT open the help window and article as normal - there is simply no response at all. No click, no attempt to open anything - the hyperlink is simply dead. The same thing happens for help entries such as "If...Then...Else", "Select Case", "Sub Statement" etc - seemingly all the core VB commands. Everything else works fine. I have reinstalled Office and also tried the repair option - the problem remains. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone know which file should contain the missing info so I can search to see if it is even present? Many thanks in advance for any help, I really do not want to revert to Office XP because of such a basic problem (pun begrudgingly intended)... |
