Default searching a date range.

Hi i have a list of dates from 2001 to 2004. i am wanting to be able t
have a macro that calls a msgbox and asks for the year that they wan
to display. so if they type 2003 all the records in year 2003 ar
shown. if there are no records for that year then a error box i
recieved. my date format is 12/02/01 all in one cell. does anyone kno
how i am able to do this ?
