Can I access a list of names from somewhere other than a
list above the cell I am trying to populate?
I want to be able to select a name from a list to speed
up input, but I don't have room for the list above the
name cells.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Use data validation

You can put the list on another worksheet by naming it and referring to the
name in the validation.

Use a Data Validation in-cell drop-down list.

The list can be on another sheet if you wish(as long as you name the list).

See Debra Dalgleish's site for more on Data Validation.
