Browse For Folder start directory
 

This question is for Chip Pearson or anyone else who may
know about the Browse for Folder code.

Yesterday Chip Pearson gave me a link to download his
Browse for Folder code on his website. There are 2
versions: 1 that allows you to specify a start directory,
and another that does not.

I am using the one that does allow this. Below is the
code I am using that is inside the browse button click
event:

Dim FName As String
FName = BrowseFolder("Select a folder", "Q:\CS
Management Reports\Reports Setup\Administrator
Files\Exported Modules")
If FName = "" Then
Else
TextBox2.Value = FName
End If


Heres the problem... It does not allow me to navigate up
levels to prior(higher) directories. It doesnt even allow
me to see any of the other directories accept sub
directories. Eventhough I have started in the "Q:\CS
Management Reports\Reports Setup\Administrator
Files\Exported Modules" folder, I would still like users
to be able to navigate to a different directory. Is this
possible?

Todd,

You need to use the other one, but that means you start at the root
directory.

Thanks. I tried using C:\ but that only showed C:\ and
the subdirectories. I used \\ instead and that works.
