SelfCert.exe error
I am hopefully wrong, but this error may go very deep in the system. My
computer needed a complete reinstall before selfcert worked again. You might start with opening Internet Explorer, menu Tools Options (? I have a localized version here), and somewhere there find the certificates list and see what's there, maybe remove some old ones. HTH. Best wishes Harald "CraigBX" skrev i melding ... I tracked this problem down with severeal peopel fron the German-NG and even from Microsoft - it looks like the UI-part of Selfcert is corrupt under some circumstances. In this case use my Excel-AddIn to create a new certificate (unfortunately its written in German, but really ease to use): http://users.quick-line.ch/ramel/Fil...ert-Ersatz.xla After it's installation you'll find a new Item in Menu -- Tools, called 'Eigenes Zertifikat erstellen'. Just type your name in the Textbox and click [OK] -- the new certificate is created. The button 'Gültkgeitsdauer' opens an userform to specify an expiry-date or an expiry-period in month (thats additional to 'Selfcert.exe' ;-)) Give it a try and I would be happy about a (hopefully positive) feedback. -- Mit freundlichen Grüssen Thomas Ramel - MVP für Microsoft-Excel - [Win 2000Pro SP-4 / xl2000 SP-3] |
