Input box to formatting????
Im trying to get an input box to pop up when a cell in a range i
selected and in that input box i want the user to be able to enter number from 1-4 (each number will mean a different colour to format th cell) and also a letter (any letter it doesnt matter) i then want th macro to format the cell a certain colour linked to what ever numbe the enter in the input box and the letter that is entered to be place in the cell....so for arguments sake the input space on the input bo could have this typed:-1,b by the user and the macro will for argument sake format the selected cell say red and then enter the letter b, Bo Philips kindly posted a macro that works on cases but it doesn actually do what i need. Can you help? Simo -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

Simon,
I have responded to the original. Keep in the same thread, don't open up new posts as it just confuses the issue. WE do revisit to see how our suggestion was taken. -- HTH Bob Phillips ... looking out across Poole Harbour to the Purbecks (remove nothere from the email address if mailing direct) "Simon Lloyd " wrote in message ...
