the issue was thet the worksheet_change event is NOT triggered in Excel 97 if you change the value of the drop- down listbox. This won't be a problem using VLOOKUP but could be a problem if you use the worksheet_change event. FWIW: On workaround for this issue is to create a separate cell with a formula referencing the drop_down cell and checking the worksheet_claculate event -----Original Message----- Frank is right.
