Help Page in Excel_VBE

Whenever I invoke the help page in Excel-VBE, my pc tries
to dial out. The help menu comes up, but the interactive
words, those underlined and in blue, won't allow me to
access this feature. For example, under MsgBox Statement
in help, I know there is a blue text with "Examples", but
it doesn't appear on my screen.
Is there a setting I need to adjust to read help from the
PC's hard-drive and not go online?
A sidenote, a PC at work, loaded with XP Professional and
Office XP within the past week exibits the same sort of
problems. When using Excel 2000 on another machine, the
help menu in VBA shows all of the hyperlinks. Is this an
Excel_VBA bug?
Thanks.

Sounds like the HELP files were not installed from the Office disk. Put in
the office disk and see if you can install HELP files.

I tried that already, twice! I still think it's curious
that another PC is loaded with Office XP from a completely
different source disk and is exhibiting exactly the same
problem as my home PC with XP and Office XP. I have even
installed the latest service pack, SP3, to no avail. By
the way, TH, I am also in Denver.
