how do you have one cell alter another cell
For example: say I want cell A3 to do a logic test and if cell A1 i True then have it enter a 4 into cell A2. I don't want to place an formulas in cell A2 because if A1 is false then I want the user to b able to place their own amount into A2. Is this possible and if so ho do I do it. I though tthe formula for A3 would b =if(A1=TRUE,A2=4,A2="") but this doesnt work. Can anyone help me out? A formula will only display answers in the cell that the formula i
entered in. It can not change an entry in any other cell -- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
